Every spoonful of rice you eat carries the unique texture, taste, aroma and quality
Empowering the hands that feed us. Bringing the taste of home closer.
Deccan was born with a simple, human purpose, to keep the taste of India alive in every home across the world, and to ensure the hands that feed us are never forgotten. For us, food is not just what fills a plate. It is memory. It is belonging. It is love made visible. And somewhere between modern trade and global supply chains, that connection between the farmer and the family began to fade.
We created Deccan to bring it back. From the rich soils of Telangana to farmlands across India, we work hand-in-hand with farmers, agricultural universities, and innovators to protect our native food heritage — from rice and pulses to oils and grains.
Our world-class agro hub at Sultanpur ensures that what begins in the soil reaches homes with purity, dignity, and care. Every grain, every pulse, every drop we send into the world carries the story of a farmer, the strength of the land, and the warmth of India’s kitchens.
Our mission is simple, to empower the hands that feed us, and to bring the taste of home closer to every Indian family across the world.
Because when farmers thrive, families everywhere feel at home.
Deccan – From India, with love.

The Journey Continues…
Every milestone is a step closer to the same promise, to uphold the dignity of those who grow, and the trust of those who eat. From India, with love.
Where the longing began
Three friends, oceans apart, missed the taste of home — the rice that carried their childhoods, families, and roots.
Turning nostalgia into purpose
What began as a feeling became a promise — to bring authentic Indian rice varieties to every Indian table abroad.
Built on trust, grown with care
We partnered with local farmers to preserve native varieties and protect their livelihoods.
Every grain checked, every promise kept
Modern processing meets old fashioned care — so each pack feels like a gift from home.
From India, with love
Deccan rice travels across oceans to the US, UK, UAE, Canada, and Australia.
In every festival, every gathering
From Pongal and Sankranti to weddings and everyday meals, Deccan became part of celebrations abroad.
Two decades of quiet trust
20 years later, our promise remains — to keep every Indian connected to home, one grain at a time.
“Some journeys begin with a longing, not a plan.”
For Kiran and Sunitha Pola, life in the United States was everything they had worked for stability, success, and comfort. Yet, amidst the hum of modern life and boardroom victories, there was a quiet emptiness that no milestone could fill.
Every meal abroad carried a small ache, a missing warmth, a forgotten aroma, a taste that no import could recreate. It wasn’t just the food they missed; it was home, the rhythm of fields, the dignity of the farmer, the connection between the land and the plate.
That longing became impossible to ignore. It turned into a question that reshaped their purpose: If we miss this so deeply, how many others do too?
And in that question, Deccan was born, not as a company, but as a promise.
A promise to bring the authentic taste of India to families across the world.
A promise to restore pride, dignity, and opportunity to the farmers who feed us all.
Leaving behind their comfortable corporate lives in the U.S., Kiran and Sunitha returned to Telangana, to their roots, to their people, to the source.
They began by listening to farmers who had stories of resilience, to agricultural experts who believed innovation could coexist with tradition, and to Indian families abroad who longed for authenticity without compromise. From these voices, Deccan took form, an ecosystem that connects farmers and families, heritage and innovation, India and the world.
Today, Kiran leads Deccan with the belief that food is not a commodity, but a connection. He sees a future where Indian farmers are recognized as global contributors, and where every Indian home, anywhere in the world, feels close to the taste of home.
Sunitha, the heart of Deccan, ensures that warmth remains at the center of everything they do from the way the brand speaks, to how it serves, to the way every product is crafted with care.
Together, they are building more than a brand, they are building a bridge.
A bridge of dignity, authenticity, and love.
